The fourth annual Kids & Queen Victoria
The exhibit opened April 2001 at the Alameda Museum and young artists and
fledgling historians turned out in droves. In addition to drawings, paintings,
stories and three-dimensional Victorian houses, the exhibit had a special
visitor: Queen Victoria was there, her full sized puffy-stuffy effigy
gowned by Goodwill and coiffed by a Pagano´s Hardware mop refill.
Many of the children and dignitaries memorialized the occasion by posing
for photographs with the Queen, who granted all requests in her usual
gracious manner.
